23 September 2009 - Grant Design Collaborative is pleased to announce that its President & Creative Director, Bill Grant, will give a keynote address to North Carolina business and design leaders as part of the Piedmont Triad Partnership’s upcoming "Triad Design Leadershop." The program is sponsored by the non-profit organization Piedmont Triad Partnership, in close conjunction with the U.S. Department of Labor's Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development (WIRED) initiative. Offering an ongoing series of educational events, the program's goal is to sustain and continually improve the dynamic Piedmont region's competitive global advantage in fields such as technology and research. The forward-thinking "Leadershop" program brings decision makers from a large cross-section of North Carolina industries throughout a 12-county region together with innovators from across the nation.
Beginning at :00pm on September 30th in the Harrison Auditorium at the NC A&T State University Campus in Greensboro, Grant’s keynote address entitled "Business Design and Brand Experience" and subsequent workshop will touch on his 20+ years of experience designing strategic solutions for furnishing companies and international brands. Grant will also discuss "design thinking" and how it can be used to innovate products, services, and business processes "I look forward to the opportunity to share some of our client success stories and explain the crucial role that strategic design played in those successes at every level — from brand identity and product development to sales and marketing. I believe this understanding can benefit any business – regardless of industry," says Grant. To extend the program's impact, Grant will also lead discussions at the UNCG Business School and with resident entrepreneurs and business community leaders at the Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship in Greensboro.
